TEHRAN: Iran has proposed a comprehensive 10-point plan aimed at ending the ongoing conflict, outlining key political, military, and economic demands, according to Tasnim News Agency.
The plan calls on the United States to make a firm commitment to non-aggression, signaling Tehran’s insistence on long-term security guarantees as a foundation for peace. A central demand includes the continuation of Iran’s control over the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant portion of global oil shipments passes.
Iran has also emphasized international acceptance of its uranium enrichment program, while demanding the complete lifting of both primary and secondary sanctions imposed by Washington. Additionally, Tehran has called for the termination of all resolutions issued by the United Nations Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors.
The proposal further includes financial compensation to Iran for damages incurred, alongside a full withdrawal of US combat forces from the region. It also calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities across all fronts, including conflicts involving allied groups in Lebanon.
The announcement reflects Iran’s attempt to shape the framework for a negotiated settlement, though analysts suggest the sweeping nature of the demands may pose significant challenges for consensus with Western powers and regional stakeholders.
